The incumbent Kalon Tripa, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, Prime Minister for the Tibetan government-in-exile, will end his term in office in August 2011. This important date is a year away and it is the opportune moment to begin our studies on every upcoming candidates. We have a year to find a worthy leader. It would be irresponsible to put off a search for good candidates any later, as this period affords us just enough time to proceed. To wait any longer would be to court disaster.
